TerraSAR-X Ascending-Descending Merges

An Ascending-Descending Merge ADM^SAR is a combination of two scenes of the same acquisition area: one recorded in ascending and the other in descending orbit.

ADM^SAR images reduce the impact of shadows and layover, the specific image characteristics of the side-looking radar system.

The ADM^SAR product characteristics are:

• Multilook detected
• WGS84 with standard projections UTM or UPS
• Optional: separted ascending and descending mode images as ORI^SAR or EEC images
• Source map depicting the relevant input image for each pixel
• ADM^SAR are available as mosaics as well
