Following the recent earthquake in China (12 May, 2008), Infoterra has been able to support rescue teams with valuable geo-information based on recent TerraSAR-X acquisitions.

Infoterra's experts have evaluated and interpreted the data immediately upon reception; within only a few hours after data availability they were able to provide helpful information to Chinese and International rescue organisations, both governmental and non-governmental.

Further TerraSAR-X acquisitions are planned in the next days and weeks to monitor the progresses and changes in order to continuously support the emergency response activities.
