Infoterra’s Direct Access Services enable selected partners and customers around the globe to receive TerraSAR-X data directly at their own ground station.
Basic steps towards the implementation of such a service are
- a thorough feasibility study;
- a technical evaluation including a site survey of existing ground station facilities;
- an identification of the most appropriate type of partnership
- Direct Access Partner (DAP)
- Direct Access Customer (DAC); - the installation of a Direct Access Station (DAS) and/or a Direct Access Terminal (DAT) at the DAP/DACs premises.
Following formal agreement and technical installations, the DAP/DAC can
- plan and order acquisitions via a secure web-based ordering tool;
- receive these acquisitions at the own ground station during the pass of the satellite following the acquisition;
- individually process or distribute the received image data (according DAP/DAC agreement).
Direct Access Services are provided by Infoterra GmbH exclusively.
