In recent years, Infoterra has successfully concluded numerous national and international projects:
The ESA GMES Service Element GSE Land concluded in 2009, delivered geo-information services over large areas and for a wide spectrum of land applications, focusing on two of the GMEs priorities “Land Cover Change in Europe”, and “Environmental stress in Europe”. The GSE Land Consortium mapped an area of almost 300,000 square kilometres and successfully delivered the resulting services.
The EC's FP-6 IP geoland, concluded in 2007, in which 56 partners and an extensive user community have developed a range of geo-information services. Elements of this project are being now continued in the geoland-2.

A European Service Provider network led by Infoterra GmbH mapped built-up areas and soil sealing for Europe in the European Environment Agencies' GMES Fast Track Service Precursor on Land Monitoring. The consortium covered 5.8 Mio square kilometres at 20 m resolution for the reference year of 2006.
The ESA GMES Service Element SAGE Service for the Provision of Advanced Geo-Information on Environmental Pressure and State was finished in 2004, many of its promising results being consolidated within the ongoing GSELand project.

TESI TerraSAR Exploitation and Service Infrastructure Consolidation: this ESA-funded project road-testing existing services with regard to their potential of improving sustainability, reliability and cost efficiency through the regular use of radar satellite data was concluded in 2006.

The DLR-funded ProSmart Series Products for Systematic Market and Development Approach for Remote Sensing Techniques, was initiated in 1998 in response to an increasing demand for high quality geo-information products from institutional as well as commercial users. The consortium generated demonstration examples for innovative geo-information services as a basis for the Infoterra/TerraSAR definition.
ProSmart I finished in 2000. Its successor, ProSmart II, ran from 2000 to 2002. Selected parts of this project were continued in ProSmart II E, which was terminated in May 2004.
