Currently, Infoterra is eagerly preparing the commercial exploitation of TanDEM-X, the twin satellite to TerraSAR-X, designed to fly in a constellation with the latter starting 2009.
The companies' expertise is often resorted when the sensor design specifications of new spacecrafts are elaborated: Infoterra has sound experiences in the development and implementation of satellite-based geo-information services, as well as a significant history in airborne data acquisition and evaluation.
Not only have Infoterra experts contributed to the design of TerraSAR-X; but to the sensor design of ESA's upcoming GMES radar sensor Sentinel-2 as well. In the near future, modifications for TerraSAR-X's successor TerraSAR-X-2 will also stem from Infoterra's experiences.
