Katherina Reiche, Potsdam's representative to the German Bundestag, has recently visited Infoterra's Potsdam production site, where she learned details about the geo-information products and services that are produced there, and their impact on our environment and security.

Infoterra's experts proudly demonstrated their capabilities, including the latest technology for TerraSAR-X data interpretation: A 3D analytic workstation enabling the experts to perform even more detailed evaluations as they gain a three-dimensional view of the target area.

Reiche was impressed: "Such highly modern and innovative approaches are extremely important in the days of globalisation" she says. "It's innovations that are drive our economy and ensure wealth, employment, and sustainability."

Clients around the globe rely on the expertise and reliability of Infoterra's Potsdam-based production team when they need detailed topographic evaluations quickly and reliably. Particularly for equatorial regions, TerraSAR-X is a much appreciated data source, as it records data independent of cloud cover.

As the Parliament's representative for Potsdam, Potsdam-Mittelmark and Teltow, Katherina Reiche is of course pleased to see Infoterra's Potsdam site prosper - especially thanks to qualified staff available in this region: "This successful establishment proves that our investments in education are truly benefitial - education powers the positive development of our region."
