June 8, 2008 – 13.00 hrs – (Level 1 of ISPRS venue): ISPRS Special Session on TerraSAR-X: High-resolution Spaceborne Radar Data for Versatile Applications

This special session is conducted by Infoterra GmbH. It introduces the new high-resolution radar satellite TerraSAR-X, the mission concept, the extensive portfolio of data and geo-information services and applicability, and recent application examples – including its contribution to the emergency response activities following the Sichuan earthquake.

June 9-11 - Sino-German Center for Research Promotion: Sino-German Workshop for High-Resolution Radar Data Processing and Interpretation for Disaster Management

This workshop is organized by Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping, the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, and the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing.
