Klaus Koeble, head of EADS Astrium's TerraSAR-X launch team on site in Baikonur, regularly reports the current status of activities from Baikonur:

We have started the combined operations yesterday: the mounting of the satellite into the launch vehicle. The satellite was turned into vertical direction and transferred from the integration stand into the rocket.

As we had rehearsed this several times before, the process was performed quickly and securely.

After removing the last protective caps, testing all electrical connections, and performing a thorough final visual inspection, the integration into the rocket adapter can now be pronounced to be complete.

Everything is on track for the June 15th launch.

This is L-9!"

TerraSAR-X is scheduled to be launched at 04.14 hrs CEST on Friday, June 15th, 2007.
